Conveniently located near the city center, the Faculty of Social Work at Complutense University is the perfect setting for the insightful discussions and shared experiences about groupwork. Beyond the enriching academic program, we encourage you to savor the local flavors, explore Madrid's cultural gems, and forge connections that extend beyond the symposium walls.

Venue: Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Somosaguas campus in Pozuelo de Alarcón (hosted by the Faculty of Social Work and the Faculty of Sociology and Political Science of the Complutense University of Madrid). View directions to the Somosaguas Campus. 

Travel & Flights: Madrid-Barajas Airport (about 30 km from the symposium location and 20 km from Madrid)

Lodging: When booking your accommodations, please take into account the public transportation connection to the Somosaguas Campus. The Somosaguas Campus can be reached by Bus A, which you take in front of the Moncloa Metro Station. Moncloa station is also served by Metro Lines 3 and 6.

  • Where to Stay: If you plan to take public transportation to/from the Moncloa Metro Station, we recommend staying within walking distance of the Metro Line 3 (yellow) between the Moncloa and Callao stops. This is a vibrant area of the city with restaurants, shopping and historic buildings. There are many hotels in this area. We suggest looking online for a hotel that meets your preferences near the following Metro stops:

We suggest staying near these Line 3 stations. View route on GoogleMaps. As a reminder, the location of the symposium is accessible by Bus A. The pick up for Bus A is at the Moncloa Metro Station (on the yellow, Line 3).
